I received my BSc degree in Chemistry and my MSc degree in Organic chemistry from Sapienza University of Rome. I concluded my BSc degree with a thesis focused on the synthesis of optically active amino alchols for the functionalization of magnetic nanoparticles, whereas the synthesis of new water soluble metal-salophen complexes was carried out during my Master’s Thesis. 

Then, I was recruited by COST ACTION for a Short Term Mission at University of Kaiserslautern, in Germany, where I worked on the synthesis of new β-cyclodextrin conjugated ZnSalophen complexes as anions receptors in water.

Afterwards I moved to Barcelona where I started my PhD in NANOMOL group under the supervision of Prof. Concepcio Rovira and Dr. Marta Mas. I am currently enrolled in the project “iSwitch” that is a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Action ITN funded by Horizon 2020.




Research interest

I am growing up in a multidisciplinary environment and my scientific interests include the field of organic chemistry and material science. My current work concerns the synthesis and the characterization of electroactive molecules for the study of advanced electronic devices. The synthesis of switchable molecules and the fabrication and the functionalization of electronics devices form part of my main tasks.
