High participation of ICMAB PhD students at the International School of Oxide Electronics 2017
This field is now growing exponentially, due to its potential applications in data storage, energy harvesting, and advanced computing, and corresponds to one of the five Research Lines at ICMAB: Sustainable Energy Conversion and Storage System, Superconductors for Power Applications, Oxide Electronics, Molecular Electronics and Multifunctional Nanostructured Biomaterials.
This international school will offer fundamental notions of solid-state physics (superconductivity, ferroelectricity, magnetism, first-principles calculations, optics, correlation, etc), as well as key advanced characterization and computational techniques, multiferroics, oxide interfaces, domain walls, topogically insulating oxides, and oxide-based devices for electronics, spintronics, optics and other fields.
