Research Fields:

My research work began in 2001 when I started my PhD Thesis in the ICMAB. I focused at that time at the interplay between the structural properties/disorder of oxide thin films and their physical properties (magnetism, transport). My current research activities span over different areas in the fields of magnetism, transport and magnetooptics of thin film oxides and superlattices. For instance, I am currently interested in the analysis of structural and physical properties of oxide interfaces in complex heterostructures. I do research on physical phenomena arising at or related to interface properties. More specifically I am active in the characterization of 2D electron gases at oxide interfaces, as well as the effect of interface features on the magnetism of some complex oxides. Additionally, my research interests also cover up the magnetooptical properties of magnetic oxide thin films: Kerr & Faraday magnetooptical spectroscopy of thin film materials, as well as characterization of magnetophotonic crystals.
