My name is Sara Battista and I'm a PhD student at University of L'Aquila. I did my bachelor's degree in chemistry at University of Rome "La Sapienza" and my master's degree in Chemical Science (organic chemistry) at University of L'Aquila. I'm working on liposomes used to develop a sensor for dosing biomarker enzymes and to vehiculate natural substances with farmacological activity. Now I'm doing a period of three months at ICMAB with the Nanomol group to investigate our formulations using a different methodology to increase stability and selectivity of systems.

I'm Alvaro from Argentine. I obtained my degree in Chemistry (2008) from Río Cuarto National University and my Ph. D. in Chemistry (2013). Now I have a postdoctoral fellowship from CONICET for working in INQUIMAE-University of Buenos Aires. My research interests are focus on the Oxygen Reduction Reaction and development new technologies and methods to understand the chemical of lithium-air batteries. I´ll be working in the ICMAB for 5 months (short postdoctoral stay). I can´t play guitar but I liked the picture!

Hi everyone! My name is Anna, and I hold a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Technology from the Universitat de Barcelona. My thesis focused on silica mesoporous materials and nanoparticles. I have entered the ICMAB to perform a postdoc at the Nanoparticles and Nanocomposites group, with Dr. Anna Roig. The idea is to work with bacterial cellulose and nanoparticles, to optimize the synthesis and nanostructure of novel composite materials, and to study some specific applications, such as photocatalysis or batteries. I'm really looking forward to it, and to share my next few years with the people at the ICMAB. Apart from science, I love to dance the lindy hop and travel around the globe!
