Hi, my name is Clemens Lindermeir from Wolfenbüttel, Germany. I am eighteen years old and joined the ICMAB to do an internship for a year. In Germany I study chemical engineering at the Clausthal University of Technology. Apart from that I enjoy being outdoors, riding motorcycle and playing my guitar. I am also a big fan of travelling. During my stay I`d like to learn Spanish (and maybe Catalan) fluently and I will keep looking for new experiences and friends to spend time with.
Hi! My name is Carla. I’m 16 years old, and I’m from Igualada, a little city near Barcelona. I’m spending a month at Icmab to learn many things and to work with photovoltaic devices. I love reading and learning languages and also all the mainstream activities such as going out, watching Netflix, listen to music and travelling. See you around!
Hello, I am Mauricio Morel, from Universidad de Chile. Now I have joined the group of Multifunctional Oxides and Complex Structures to do a postdoctoral stay for one month. I am a materialist chemist and I work in different areas such as organic synthesis, and liquid crystals, polymer, and nanostructured nanomaterials.
See you around!
I am a postgraduate student from the University of Manchester visiting Dr. Xavier Torrelles' group to learn surface x-ray diffraction data analysis. My undergraduate degree was from University of Manchester in Chemistry. I enjoy mountain running and cycling in my spare time.
My name is Alba and I am from El Figaró, a small village an hour from Barcelona. I studied Nanoscience and Nanotechnology and now I am finishing a master on pharmacology. For that, I am currently doing my master's thesis at ICMAB in the Nanomol Group. As you can see in my profile photo (taken in El Camino de Santiago), I love hiking. I also like learning languages (I know a bit of italian and russian) and I play the piano and the recorder.
My name is Laura and I am from Italy (as well as from all the places I have been travelling to so far). At Icmab, I will be working on topics related to new materials and devices for photovoltaic applications. Out of Icmab, I keep being obsessed with green energy-related matters!
My name is María del Carmen Luzardo. I come from La Habana, Cuba. There, I am fulltime professor at the University of Habana (UH) else I`m researcher in the Center of Molecular Immunology (CIM), in Havana city. We have one laboratory inside this BioCubaFarma industry (Lab. UH-CIM). My expertise: physic-chemical characterization of liposomes containing proteins in order to study their properties as adjuvants and immune-modulators in preclinical assays. This is my first time in Spain.I want to thank NanoOligoMed proyect and the Dr. Nora Ventosa and Dr. Marilyn Lanio (Cuba) for give me this opportunity as post-doc of the ICMAB
Hi there! I´m Natalia, and I come from Valdefuentes del Páramo, a little village in León, Spain. I studied my Bachelor in Biotechnology at the University of León, and now I'm studying the Master in Advanced Nanoscience and Nanotechnology at UAB. Here at ICMAB I am working on my master's thesis on bacterial nanocellulose as bioactive wound dressing with the Nanoparticles and Nanocomposites group. In my free time I like to play the (electric) guitar with my band, going out and exploring the places nearby. I also enjoy a lot doing outdoor activities.
See you around!
Hi! I'm Arnau, I'm 22 and I live in Sant Quirze. I'm an undergraduate on Nanotechnology and I'll be doing my final thesis working on the Smart4Fabry project with Nanomol-Tech. I used to play handball as well as the saxophone and the drums. In general, I like all kind of sports and I love travelling. See you around!! :)
Hi, my name is Miquel Casademont. I'm from Torroella de Montgrí and I'm a Nanoscience and Nanotechnology student at UAB. I'll be studying thermoelectric materials at NANOPTENER group as part of my final degree project. I play drums and trumpet and I love all types of music. See you around!!
