El aerogenerador que no pierde energía

Bernat Meseguer

Hello there!

My name is Bernat and I'm from Terrassa, near Barcelona. I'm on my last year of Nanoscience & Nanotechnology, in the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB).

I'm currently working in a project involving lithium-oxygen batteries with carbon electrodes based on natural materials, under the supervision of Dr. Dino Tonti here at ICMAB; a very valuable experience which will form part of the final project for my degree.

My hobbies include mountaineering, reading, playing the guitar, and playing sports in general. I look forward to working with you!

Hi all! I'm Xavier from Molins de Rei (Barelona). After finishing with my bachelor in nanoscience at UAB, I decided to start a master in biomedicine at UB. This latter brought me to this great research center called ICMAB in order to realize my master thesis on carboranes under the supervision of Rosario Nuñez. Valentin Natarov

Hello everyone! My name is Valentin Natarov.  I am master student (Chemistry) of Faculty of Chemistry of Belarusian State University (Minsk, Belarus). El cambio primordial en un molino superconductor está en el generador. “En lugar de cobre y hierro en su interior hay cintas de segunda generación, unos filamentos superconductores”, explica Xavier Obradors, director del Icmab. No solo los filamentos no pierden energía, sino que tampoco se calientan, por lo que no se necesita la maquinaria de enfriamiento que precisan los metales tradicionales.

Eulàlia Pujades Otero

Hello everyone!
My name is Eulàlia and I'm from Rubí (Barcelona). I got my BSc in Chemistry and my MSc in Industrial Chemistry and Chemical Research at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. I'm going to stay at ICMAB as a PhD student during the following 3 years, in the Solid State Chemistry group under the supervision of Prof. Nieves Casañ-Pastor and Dr. Dino Tonti working in the "electrochemistry, electroactive materials - synthesis, doping, energy storage and bio" research line.
In my spare time I love travelling abroad, listening to music and playing it (I play the piano and the flute since I was a child) and I also love resolving puzzles and enigmas (I'm an "escape room" addict!!! You can ask me for more information about this kind of games :P).
I'm really looking forward to meet you all and share good moments and experiences!!! I'll see you soon in ICMAB :)

The Institute of Materials Science of Barcelona (ICMAB-CSIC) will coordinate the first MSCA-COFUND programme awarded to CSIC

  • The doctoral fellowship programme DOC-FAM will allow the mobility of 22 PhD students in the field of functional advanced materials.
  • ICMAB-CSIC, IMB-CNM-CSIC, ICN2, IREC and ALBA Synchrotron will host these fellows within a period of 5 years.
  • The total budget of the programme is 3.453.120€, of which 50% will be covered by the EC grant..

Heavy metals sensor platform developed during the COMMON SENSE project

A sensor platform to detect heavy metals has been developed within the COMMON SENSE project and presented during its final event, last Friday 27th January. The partners that participated in the development of this sensor platform are Dublin City University (DCU), DropSens, National Center of Microelectronics (CNM-IMB) (CSIC), and the Nanoparticles and Nanocomposites Group (NN) at ICMAB (CSIC).
