PhD position in the field of High Temperature Superconductors in the framework of an ERC project at the ICMAB
The Superconducting Materials and Large Scale Nanostructures (SUMAN) group at the ICMAB is looking for a PhD candidate to carry out the PhD thesis in the field of "Vortex physics in the overdoped state of High Temperature Superconductors”. The project will be in the framework of the ERC-Advanced Grant ULTRASUPERTAPE, and ERC-Proof-of-Concept Grant IMPACT, with Prof. Teresa Puig.
The Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities opens the call, from 17 October to 7 November 2019, to the Predoctoral Contrats: FPI (Formación Personal Investigador) and Severo Ochoa contracts (for Severo Ochoa centers). See the ICMAB projects and apply! We have many projects related to functional materials for energy, electronics and biomedicine applications for you!
ICMAB (Barcelona) and ICMA (Zaragoza) offer one PhD position in the framework of the project "X-ray detectors based on Transition-Edge Sensors: optimization of a pixel and development of arrays”. The PhD thesis will aim at characterizing the detectors, performing electrothermal modeling and studying the physics behind the superconducting transition.
The Nanoparticles and Nanocomposites (NN) Group at the ICMAB offers one PhD position in the framework of the project "Rising the Impact of Selected Engineered Bacterial Cellulose composites" (RISE). The PhD thesis will aim at developing complex bacterial cellulose scaffolds for dermal cell cultures. Deadline for applications: 15 October 2019.
A new MSCA-ITN project with the participation of the ICMAB "UHMob" is now looking for Early Stage Researchers
The recent UHMob project (Ultra-high Charge Carrier Mobility Elucidate Transport Mechanisms in MolecularSemiconductors) is a new MSCA-ITN-ETN project, in which the group of Marta Mas-Torrent participates! Visit their website to discover 15 open positions forEarly Stage Researchers (ESR) in the field ofOrganic Electronics! The doctoral project offered at the ICMAB is ESR12 "Solution-processing of organic semiconductors for achieving high mobility and reproducibility". The deadline for application is August 15, 2019.
