We announce the forthcoming 2020 E-MRS Spring Meeting and Exhibit, that will be held in Strasbourg, France from 25-29 May 2020. Mariano Campoy-Quiles and Narís Mestres, ICMAB researchers, participate in the organization of some symposia in the fields of "Energy materials" and "Nanomaterials and advanced characterization". Deadline for abstract submission: 15 January 2020.

Submit your Abstracts now to these symposia!

Organic semiconductors exhibit unique traits that make them attractive from the fundamental point of view as well as for a wide range of applications such as solar cells, thin-film transistors, sensors and thermoelectrics. This symposium aims to bring together key researchers in this field to discuss the main challenges towards the widespread application of organic electronics.

The symposium provides a platform and a discussion forum for researchers and students working in the field of chemical synthesis and processing of inorganic (nano)materials, with emphasis on novel syntheses routes, scale-up of (nano)material synthesis, design of functional nanoscale architectures, and their utilization in emerging energy, health and environmental applications.

Deadline for abstracts submission: 15 January 2020

About the 2020 E-MRS Spring Meeting

The 2020 Spring Meeting of the European Materials Research Society (E-MRS) will take place from May 25 to 29, 2020, in Strasbourg, France (Congress & Exhibition Centre). It will be the 38th of the series started in 1983.

The scientific programme will highlight the latest advances in materials research at an international level, with a strong emphasis on interdisciplinary research in both fundamental and applied areas. In parallel with the technical sessions, more than 80 international exhibitors are expected to display equipment, systems, products, software, publications and services during the meeting. The technical program of the meeting will include 25 symposia organized into 4 topical clusters :

  • Energy materials
  • Nanomaterials and advanced characterization
  • Biomaterials and soft materials
  • Electronics, magnetics and photonics
The conference will be augmented by a series of workshops/tutorials to be held on Sunday, prior to the conference. One on "Thin Film chalcogenide photovoltaic materials" (as part of the symposium A) and another one on "Artificial intelligence for advancing materials science".
