The ICMAB ERC Researcher Mariano Campoy, from the NANOPTO group (Nanostructures optoelectronic materials), is one of the organizers of the Research Workshop for Young Researchers Thin Film Emerging Photovoltaic and Optoelectronic Technologies (EMTECH), which will be held in Barcelona from 27 to 28 April 2017.
This workshop is developed within the framework of the Excellence Network project "Red de Tecnologías Fotovoltaicas Emergentes".
The NANOPTO group works in many of the fields related to the workshop topics: emerging thin-layer technologies with optoelectronic applications (such as light emission) and energetic (mainly photovoltaic) applications. The meeting will focus on the active materials deposited as thin films, which include inorganic organic hybrid materials, molecular materials, 2D materials, high performance hybrid perovskites in photovoltaics, and quantum dots.
The meeting also aims to be a forum for discussion of new concepts in devices, such as semitransparent devices, devices enhanced by the use of photonics, or nanophotovoltaics. The goal is to integrate different areas of research, and facilitate the participation of young researchers, who may attend lectures developed by leading experts, and also present their own achievements, and establish numerous partnerships.
Many members from the NANOPTO group will participate at the EMTECH workshop: Agustín Mihi, Antonio Sánchez-Díaz, Germán Mora, Enrique Pascual and Bernhard Dörling. For the list of invited speakers and the program, visit the workshop website.
Dates: 27 - 28 April 2017
Workshop venue: Residència d'Investigadors, Carrer Hospital, 64, Barcelona, Spain.
