Javier Maira PhD
Head of Unit of Commercialization and Contracts of the Spanish National Research Council. CSIC
Ph.D. in Chemistry from Universidad Autonoma of Madrid. He worked as scientific researcher for 8 years in the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) and in the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. He has extensive experience in intellectual property and technology transfer: 3 years in the private sector as R&D Project Manager, two years in the European Commission as Project Technical Assistant, in the monitoring and evaluation of Europeans projects in new materials and manufacturing technologies, and since 2005 he works in CSIC Deputy Vice-Presidency for Knowledge Transfer where he currently holds the position of head of the Unit of Commercialization. He participates as a teacher in various Masters and Courses of IPR.
