We are happy to invite you to the following ICMAB Invited Seminar about the CO2 meters to control COVID transmission indoors by the AIREAMOS group.
The seminar will take place at the Sala d'Actes Carles Miravitlles but it will also be possible to be followed online:
by Albert Verdaguer, SURFACES group, ICMAB-CSIC; and member of the AIREAMOS group

Since COVID-19 appeared one year and a half ago many scientific evidences pointed out the importance of transmission of the virus through aerosols. Once transmission through surfaces has been demonstrated to be very minor and masks and social distances protects people from direct transmission person-to person, the main transmission way has become through aerosols. In order to join efforts a group of aerosol researches, entrepreneurs, risk prevention technicians and voluntary created a working group called AIREAMOS nine months ago. The main objective of the group is to establish protocols and norms for a correct ventilation of closed spaces using CO2 meters to avoid COVID transmission through aerosols. In this talk I will briefly summarize the discussions, field studies and models current under development in the group and our recommendations for safety indoors spaces.
Albert Verdaguer is a CSIC tenured researcher at the Physical Chemistry of Surfaces and Interfaces. His research line is focused on the study of the interactions of materials and water, from basic knowledge at the molecular level, to industrial applications and atmospheric cloud physics. His studies include works on aerosols containing water in the troposphere responsible of ice nucleation and ozone depletion. He is developing new materials to control wetting and ice formation. He is volunteer at the Covid-Warrior organization and member of the Aireamos group.
