The program of the GEFES meeting includes keynote and invited lectures, poster sessions, outreach activities, conference dinner, awards sessions, and much more! Many ICMAB members participate either in the organization of the event (scientific committee), either in giving lectures or participating in the outreach activities.
The conference will be held at the Charles Darwing Hall located in the Burjassot campus of the Universitat de València. You can find all the travel/accommodation information here. Previous editions took place in Cuenca (2016), Ciudad Real (2014), Sevilla (2012), Zaragoza (2010), Santiago de Compostela (2008), Alicante (2006), San Sebastián (2004), Calella (2002) and Madrid (2001).

Outreach Activities
Like in past editions, the conference will be complemented with outreach activities in secondary schools and for the first time, we will offer tutorials on hot topics in Condensed Matter Physics. A team of scientists GEFES members (Rubén Pérez, Julia Herrero, Lucas Pérez, Leni Bascones, Sandra Ruiz-Gómez, Fernando Bartolomé, Ignasi Fina (from ICMAB), Laura Mercadé Morales, Mª José Calderón and Belen Valenzuela) will give different lectures at several secondary schools of Valencia aimed at promoting Physics to the students and encouraging girls to choose Science or Technology.
Two tutorials will be held on 23rd of January at the Institute of Molecular Science (http://www.icmol.es/), Conference Hall 1st floor. Universitat de Valéncia.
