Each fellowship covers lilving and mobility allowances, PhD tuition fees and research, and training and networking costs. It is a great opportunity to start research projects in Excellent Research Centers in Materials Science in Barcelona.
If you want to do a PhD in some of the most challenging areas of science, check the eligibility criteria, and apply now! https://projects.icmab.es/docfam
The positions available are at 4 at ICMAB-CSIC, 2 at IREC, 2 at ICN2, 2 at ALBA Synchrotron and 2 at IMB-CNM-CSIC.
Ten ESR Fellows of the first call have started or will start soon their PhD at ICMAB-CSIC (5), IREC (2) and ALBA Synchrotron (3). For more information about the first call, please visit this news appeared at the ICMAB website: 10 Early Stage Researchers granted with predoctoral fellowships from the MSCA COFUND DOC-FAM program will start their PhD in advanced functional materials at ICMAB-CSIC, IREC and ALBA Synchrotron
DOC-FAM is an excellence DOCtoral training programme in Functional Advanced Materials awarded to the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) in the H2020-MSCA-COFUND-2016 Call and coordinated through the Institute of Materials Science of Barcelona (ICMAB) in collaboration with several partner research institutions from the area, four of them contributing to the co-funding of the programme: the Catalan Institute of Nanoscience & Nanotechnology (ICN2), the Catalonia Institute for Energy Research (IREC), the Barcelona Microelectronics Institute of the National Microelectronics Centre (IMB-CNM-CSIC) and ALBA Synchrotron (ALBA).
During the 60 months of duration of the programme, two calls will be launched for the recruitment of 22 Marie-Skłodowska-Curie Early-Stage Researchers (ESRs) during 36 months each.
DOC-FAM has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under the Marie Sklodowska-Curie grant agreement No 754397.ICMAB acknowledges financial support from the Spanish Ministry of Economy, Industry and Competitiveness, through the “Severo Ochoa” Programme for Centres of Excellence in R&D (SEV- 2015-0496).
