Gender equality, diversity and inclusion are cross-cutting priorities at ICMAB and are integrated into the Institute's research, innovation and organizational practices, in line with the principles of Horizon Europe.

The Gender Equality and Diversity Committee, created within the framework of the Severo Ochoa project, works to promote an inclusive, respectful and an equitable environment for everyone at the Institute. The Committee contributes to the development, implementation and monitoring of actions that foster equal opportunities and support diversity and inclusion across all areas of ICMAB.

The Committee is organized into several working groups that address key topics, including:

• Health and Work-Life Balance
• Prevention of Harassment and Microaggressions
• Career Development
• Training and Awareness
• LGTBIQA+ Inclusion
• Intersectionality and Other Diversities
