I started my PhD in Material Science in February 2003. My thesis work was focused in the developement and perfection of a method for joining YBa2Cu3O7 bulk superconducting pieces so that the properties at the joint were not depressed either mechanically and under the point of view of their magnetic and electric properties.

Later, on 2007, I started working as a support technician in the same research group. My work was focused on the improvement and automatization of the experimental setups being present and also helping to develop new ones.

Finally, on november 2007 I joined to the Low Temperature and magnetometry service, which belongs to the Scientific and Technical Services in ICMAB. I am currently responsible of two SQUID magnetometers (Quantum Design MPMS XL) and two PPMS platforms (Quantum Design PPMS), all devoted to magnetic and electric characterization of materials.

Specialist Technician on Electric Transport and Magnetometry measurments at low temperatures. Currently responsible of the Low Temperature and Magnetometry Service in ICMAB.

The Low Temperature and Magnetometry Service is part of the ICMAB Scientific Technical Services Unit and its facilities are available to all the research crew of the Institute, as well as, to external users. It is devoted to the measurement of the magnetic, electric properties under specific conditions of external magnetic field and temperature.

In order to achieve the demand, the Service is equipped with two SQUID based magnetometers (Quantum Design MPMS system), devoted to magnetometry measurements and two Quantum Design PPMS systems, devoted to electrical transport measurements, as well as magnetometry measurements.
