In this call, a total of 11 fellowships are available to Early-Stage Researchers (ESRs) in order to conduct a PhD in one of the research centers involved in the programme, for a total of 36 months. 

The available research projects of this 1st Call include projects at ICMAB, IREC, ALBA Synchrotron and IMB-CNM, within the following research topics: 

• Energy conversion & storage
• Molecular and oxide electronics
• Power applications
• Nanostructured biomaterials

The project aims to attract excellent and talented young researchers in an extensive and dedicated training programme, which includes secondments, workshops, schools and non-research oriented skills. Each fellowship covers lilving and mobility allowances, PhD tuition fees and research, and training and networking costs.

About DOC-FAM:

DOC-FAM is an excellence DOCtoral training programme in Functional Advanced Materials awarded to the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) in the H2020-MSCA-COFUND-2016 Call and coordinated through the Institute of Materials Science of Barcelona (ICMAB) in collaboration with several partner research institutions from the area, four of them contributing to the co-funding of the programme: the Catalan Institute of Nanoscience & Nanotechnology (ICN2), the Catalonia Institute for Energy Research (IREC), the Barcelona Microelectronics Institute of the National Microelectronics Centre (IMB-CNM-CSIC) and ALBA Synchrotron (ALBA-CELLS). During the 60 months of duration of the programme, two calls will be launched for the recruitment of 22 Marie-Skłodowska-Curie Early-Stage Researchers (ESRs) during 36 months each.
