Anna Laromaine, from the Nanoparticles and Nanocomposites group, introduced the students to nanoscience and nanotechnology, and then explained some of the new materials and applications for nanomedicine, such as bacterial cellulose, or C. elegans.

"The students were very participative and asked a lot of questions" said Anna Laromaine after the seminar

After the lecture, the students from Escola Vedruna Gràcia had the opportunity to visit:

  • The Nanoquim Platform, our 1,000 class cleanroom, with Marta Riba.
  • The Low Temperatures and Magnetometry Lab, with Bernat Bozoo.
  • The Soft Lab, with Amable Bernabé.
  • The NN group Lab, in which they could see some C. elegans on the microscope, with Amanda Muñoz, Master student at the group.
