LabsinLove's success is driven by a dedicated team of experts from various institutions, including researchers from the ICMAB. Rosario Núñez, researcher in boron chemistry, focuses on developing boron-rich compounds and nanoparticles for Boron Neutron Capture Therapy (BNCT). She is joined by Miquel Nuez-Martínez, a postdoctoral researcher specializing in the synthesis and characterization of innovative boron-rich compounds. Their combined expertise significantly advances the development of targeted cancer therapies.
The team also includes Carmen Ruiz-Ruiz, a pharmacist, immunologist, and biologist leading studies on the biological effects of neutrons and their immune responses. She heads a group of enthusiastic biologists at the University of Granada, with experience in neutron irradiation experiments at international facilities, such as the Institute Laue-Langevin in Grenoble, France. Additionally, María Isabel Porras-Quesada, the team's youngest scientist, is conducting her industrial doctorate focusing on the biological response to BNCT, particularly with new compounds.
