The celebration will be on Friday, 20 December, in the morning, starting from 10:30 AM. The celebration starts with two paral·lel sessions:

A. Activity in the Sala d’Actes for Senior and Junior Researchers (10:30 AM - 12:30 PM)

• Interview with the winner of the Margarita Salas Medal for Research Mentoring: Mariano Campoy-Quiles (30 min)
  Topic: Discover insights into his career, experiences, and valuable advice on becoming an excellent mentor in the scientific field.
  Interviewer: Dolors Grillo, Talent Officer

• Roundtable Discussion: Scientific Stories and Life Experiences (90 min)

With the following participants:

• Senior Researchers: Josep Fontcuberta, Jordi Rius, and Nora Ventosa
• Junior Researchers: Valeria Blanco and Juan Pellico (Ramón y Cajal researchers)

Topic: Practical advice for scientific careers and reflections on professional experiences in the world of science, presented in an interactive format to inspire and connect with early-career scientists.
Moderator: Laura Cabana, Head of the Strategic Projects Unit

B. Activity for Administrative and General Services Staff and Scientific Services Staff (10:30 AM - 12:30 PM)

• 10:30 AM - 11:30 AM: Administrative and General Services Staff
  Group tours through the Scientific Services laboratories in a format designed to discover and explore spaces and equipment in a dynamic and engaging way.
  Meeting Point: Administration Hall

• 11:30 AM - 12:30 PM: Scientific Services Staff
  Exploration of the spaces and facilities of the Administrative and General Services Staff, organized to foster discovery and interaction in a fun and participatory way.
  Meeting Point: Administration Hall

Afther these two activities, we will gather for the food and music!

2. Choir Performance (12:30 PM - 1:00 PM)

• Christmas Carols by the center’s choir with a special repertoire to celebrate the season. At the ground-floor Rotunda

3. Christmas Aperitif (1:00 PM - 3:00 PM)

• Christmas aperitif on the terrace, in the garden, or in the cafeteria (depending on weather conditions), featuring traditional hot dishes and Christmas desserts.

4. Musical Bingo (from 3:00 PM)

• Come and enjoy a fun Musical Bingo, whre the music takes center stage. Instead of numbers, you’ll need to stay alert and mark the melodies as they play. Who will recognize the most?

And... surprise!

And, as part of our tradition, the Tió has left a very special surprise for all attendees, along with the 2025 calendar, so that the new year comes with many good wishes. You can pick up your gifts on the same day, 20 December, at the entrance hall during the morning.
