On Tuesday, 6 November, the "Consejo de Política Científica, Tecnológica y de Innovación" (CPTI) from the Spanish Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities updated the new Map of the Singular Scientific and Technological Infrastructures (ICTS) for 2017-2020. NANBIOSIS, whose Director is Prof. Jaume Veciana from the ICMAB, and in which the ICMAB and many CSIC institutes participate, is one of these 29 ICTS that renewed its accreditation.
The new Map is integrated by 29 ICTS, which include a total of 62 infrastructures. The total number of ICTS remains the same, but the total number of infrastructures is increased thanks to the incorporation of new nodes of the existent ICTS.
NANBIOSIS offers complete services for the production and characterization of nanomaterials, biomaterials and biomedicine systems. This ICTS is integrated by the CIBER-BBN (which the NANOMOL group of ICMAB participates), the CCMIJU (Centro de Cirurgía de Mínima Invasión Jesús Usó) and the recent incorporation Bionand, in Malaga. It consists of 28 units distributed along the Spanish geography.
