In this 2025 edition, the competition consists of a catalogue of 100 female researchers from practically all areas of knowledge related to nanoscience and technology. Thus, students (from 3rd ESO to 2nd Batxillerat, including CEPA and Formació Professional) will be able to choose one of these ‘nanoscientists’, explore their life and research career, and tell their discoveries in a video that can last no longer than 60 seconds.

Among the researchers in the catalogue, there are four ICMAB researchers: 

• Anna Laromaine: Researcher at Nanoparticles and Nanocomposites (NN) group at ICMAB. She focuses on nanomaterials for biomedical applications, including bacterial cellulose and its integration into medical technologies. She works with the nematode C. elegans as model organism. 
• Núria Aliaga: ICREA professor and researcher at the FunNanoSurf group at ICMAB. Her work involves molecular electronics and sensors, using organic design and coordination chemistry to create nanoscale smart devices. She is inspired and uses curcuminoids in her research. 
• Rosa Palacín: Research Professor at the Solid State Chemistry group at ICMAB. Specialist in battery materials, she researches new materials for sustainable and efficient energy storage solutions. 
• Elena Bartolomé: Scientist at ICMAB, she investigates multifunctional magnetic molecular materials for applications in data storage, quantum computing, and magneto-optical devices.

The way of explaining the story and the work of these researchers is completely free: with animations, creating drawings, doing voice-overs, or camera presentations, or even dances, etc. Anything goes! The important thing is to explain in a good and entertaining way what has been researched by these scientists and their work. Once the video has been completed, it must be sent to the competition organisers via this link.

Videos can be submitted individually or in groups, with no limit on the number of participants. Each video must have a representative title, and a signed authorization for image use is required.
