At the atart of academic course 2026-2027, we are proud to present the ICMAB style guide.
The Style Guide of the Institute of Materials Science of Barcelona (ICMAB-CSIC) provides a comprehensive guide to the institutional identity of our centre. It defines the use of the logo (isotype, horizontal, and vertical versions), typography, colour palette, and guidelines for organising information in publications, documents, and presentations. Its main objective is to strengthen the centre’s visual identity, ensuring consistency across all communications and enhancing the centre’s image.
The purpose of the Style Guide is to provide a useful tool for standardising aspects such as the institutional affiliation in scientific articles and email signatures, the appropriate use of the logos of identities associated with the centre, and acknowledgement guidelines in scientific publications. This helps ensure consistency in how the centre is identified in bibliographic databases and the media. The guide also provides downloadable resources and templates (logos, letter and poster templates, and PowerPoint templates), making their use accessible and consistent.
