The candidate will work at the Institute of Materials Science of Barcelona (ICMAB-CSIC) in the Nanoparticles and Nanocomposites group located in the campus of the Autonomous University of Barcelona.
The project "Biosynthesized polymers for the treatment of ocular pathologies” aims to use biosynthesized hydrogels in the field of ocular surface pathologies in collaboration with the Barraquer Ophthalmology Centre.
Together with the research team, you will be trained in the production of bacterial cellulose and in performing experiments such as drug delivery using antibiotics or other biological compounds. In addition, you will work on the writing of scientific publications and technology transfer related documents.
Requirements
- We are looking for someone with a BSc or MSc in biotechnology, biochemistry, chemistry, materials science, or a similar field.
- Advanced level of English required.
- Knowledge of Spanish and Catalan will be highly valued.
Details of the position
- We offer a contract of at least 12 months in the NN group at ICMAB, CSIC with a PRODUCTE project funding (AGAUR, Generalitat de Catalunya).
- Salary according to qualifications and experience following CSIC rules.
- Tentative starting date: December 2022.
