The position will be based at the Jianghan University, (Wuhan, China) with research stages at Institute of Materials Science of Barcelona (ICMAB-CSIC) and Barcelona Clinic Hospital, both located at Barcelona, Spain. It will allow working with leading research teams in China and Spain.

Main tasks
- Nanoparticle Development – Synthesize, functionalize, and characterize nanoparticles for HCC therapy.
- Biological & Preclinical Testing – Conduct in vitro and in vivo studies to assess efficacy, biocompatibility, and pharmacokinetics.
- International Collaboration – Work with leading teams at ICMAB-CSIC and Barcelona Clinic Hospital for clinical translation.
- Data Analysis & Scientific Output – Analyse results, publish in high-impact journals, and present at conferences.
- Funding & Mentorship – Contribute to grant writing, project management, and student supervision.
Requirements including language skills
- PhD in biomedical sciences, pharmacy, biology, nanotechnology, or related fields.
- Strong background in liver diseases research, nanomedicine, and in vitro/in vivo models.
- Experience in nanoparticle-based drug delivery.
- Excellent command of English is essential.
Personal skills & others
- Ability to travel internationally for research collaborations.
Conditions
Length: 2 years (extendable for 1 additional year)
Salary: 360,000 – 500,000 RMB/year (approximately 46,000 – 65,000 EUR/year), depending on the candidate’s qualification and professional experience.
