The 3rd edition of the CSIC catalog is here, showcasing 100 of its most innovative technologies

Among the featured innovations, five were developed at the Institute of Materials Science of Barcelona (ICMAB) — explore them below.

The CSIC, presented in Barcelona on Tuesday21st of April the new CSIC Technology Catalogue 2026, which compiles 102 cutting-edge designs and prototypes developed within the institution, 62 of which are being included for the first time in this edition.

These technologies, which are available for licensing or for collaborative projects with companies to support their development and transfer to the market, feature solutions in strategic areas such as environmental monitoring, efficient water management, and soil restoration. They also include tools for the development of sustainable materials and medical devices aimed at advancing new therapies and diagnostic techniques.

In addition, the catalogue introduces innovations in the agri-food sector, solutions to optimize energy storage, and the production of sustainable fuels. The document also includes developments for the automation of scientific and industrial processes, as well as tools for cultural heritage management and socioeconomic analysis.
