A large portion of the Superconducting Materials and Large Scale Nanostructures (SUMAN) group are present at the European Conference of Applied Superconductivity (EUCAS) 2017 that takes place in Geneva between 17-21 September. Dr. Anna Palau gave an Invited Talk on "European progress toward nanostructure engineering in coated conductors".
The talk was in the framework of the EUROTAPES project, one of the most important projects in Europe about superconductivity. The main goal of the project is to improve energy efficiency in Europe by distributing the electricity throughout Europe with minimal energy losses. The superconducting tapes designed in the project are useful in multiple applications, such as in magnets for elevated magnetic fields, wind generators or electrical systems for aeronautics.
The SUMAN members that participate in the conference are:
Prof. Teresa Puig is member of the Scientific Committee (Materials Area) of the conference.
