ICMAB researchers were in Vic and Barcelona to spread our science to the world!
Why do we communicate science? Because it is our obligation? Because it increases the scientific culture of our society? Because it helps people know we exist and we can get more funding? Or because we like it? Any or this reasons is true, but during the European Researchers' Night, what is really true, is that we enjoy it, year after year.
This year we participated in talks about our research for the general public and a science fair in CosmoCaixa. See below some of the images!
On Friday, 30 September, we spent the whole afternoon and night at the science museum CosmoCaixa Barcelona. We had a stand at the Science Research Fair and three ICMABers gave three talks. CosmoCaixa was full of people enjoying the talks and workshops.
Science Faire at the EU Researchers' Night in CosmoCaixa, with Anna Crespi, Judith Oró and Roberta Ceravola, on 30/09/2022 ICMAB-CSIC
We had 4 hours to discover the spectacular properties and the advanced funcitonal materials of ICMAB and the YouMaker project (YouMaker: this is how science is made). This activity took place at CosmoCaixa Barcelona. Other research centers presented their research and experiments for the general public in the Science Research Fair. YouMaker is a project in collaboration with the Fundación Española para la Ciencia y la Tecnología - Ministerio de Ciencia e Innovación.
