We would like to invite you to the upcoming Workshop on Experimental Methods for Thermal Transport to be held at ICMAB-CSIC, Sala Carles Miravitlles, Campus UAB, Bellaterra, Barcelona, on 12–13 November 2026, as part of the Seminar Series "Jornades de Tècniques Experimentals” of ICMAB and with the support of the Severo Ochoa Centers of Excellence Award MATRANS42.
This workshop offers a tutorial overview of the principal experimental techniques currently used to characterize thermal transport, spanning the full range of accessible length scales. Nine invited specialists from Spain, France, Germany, Greece, and Italy will gather together to present their technique from the ground up. The workshop is aimed at PhD students, postdocs, and researchers who need to measure thermal properties in their own work or critically evaluate the thermal transport literature.
