Mariona Coll, scientist with GLAMOUR

The October issue of GLAMOUR, the most read magazine among women and female teenagers in Spain, publishes the interview to seven Spanish female researchers discussing on gender balance and the difficulties to do research in Spain. Mariona Coll, a chemist from ICMAB, is one of them.

Mariona Coll is a researcher at the Superconducting Materials and Large Scale Nanostructures (SUMAN) group. Her current research focuses on new materials for low-cost and efficient solar cells. She received the L'Oréal-UNESCO For Women In Science Award in 2017 for this project. 

The other six researchers that also participate in this article are: María de Soria-Santacurz Pich, Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineer from NASA; Alicia Asín, co-founder and CEO of Libelium, Ana Payo, a biologist from the University of Aberdeen; Alexandra Dubini, biologist from the Universidad de Córdoba; and Jaione Valle and Natalia López-Andrés, biologists from the Centro de Investigación Biomédica Navarrabiomed.
